In early November, U.S. News & World Report and Best Lawyers® announced the Tenth Edition of the annual “Best Law Firms” rankings. Elk & Elk is proud to be regionally ranked in multiple practice areas.

The U.S. News – Best Lawyers® “Best Law Firms” rankings are based on a rigorous evaluation process that combines client feedback, law firm surveys, law firm leader surveys, and peer reviews.
In the Cleveland region, Elk & Elk’s rankings include:
- Tier 1: Medical Malpractice Law – Plaintiffs
- Tier 2: Personal Injury Litigation – Plaintiffs
Ranked firms are recognized for their professional excellence, quality of law practice, depth of legal expertise, and ratings from peers and clients.
The 2020 rankings are based on the highest number of firm and client votes on record. Thousands of attorneys and clients offered over one million law firm evaluations in 75 national practice areas and 127 regional practice areas.
Recognition on these tiered rankings reflects the highest level of respect a firm can earn among other leading lawyers and clients from the same communities and practice areas. All 2020 rankings can be found online at bestlawfirms.usnews.com.
To be eligible for the rankings, at least one lawyer from the firm must be listed in the current edition of Best Lawyers, which recognizes the top 5% of private practicing attorneys in the country. Firms are eligible in the regions and practice areas that feature their listed individual attorneys.
