Spanish American Committee

Elk & Elk is pleased to announce our partnership with the Spanish American Committee for a Better Community, located at the corner of Lorain Avenue and W. 44th Street in Cleveland. Established in 1966, the Spanish American Committee is the oldest and largest Hispanic human services organization in Ohio. They serve more than 5,500 clients each year, providing valuable services and education in five core program areas:

  • Family Support Program
  • Early Childhood Enrichment Center
  • Employment and Training Program
  • Educational Training Services
  • Pre to Post Homeownership Program

Beginning on July 23, 2014, a bilingual representative from Elk & Elk will be available to discuss personal injury cases at the Spanish American Committee on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome, and will be assisted on a first-come, first-served basis. Referrals to other legal service providers will also be available.

“We believe in bringing justice to the injured,” says Arthur Elk, Managing Partner of Elk & Elk. “It is our sincere hope that our partnership with the Spanish American Committee will help fill the gap in the availability of plaintiff’s civil litigation services for individuals and families of the Latino and Hispanic communities of Ohio.”

Elk & Elk’s W. 25th Street Office

In addition to an office at the Spanish American Committee, Elk & Elk recently opened a new location across from MetroHealth at 3350 W. 25th Street. “Working in conjunction with the West 25th Street Initiative, we are proud to be part of the revitalization efforts taking place in the Stockyard, Clark-Fulton, Old Brooklyn, Tremont and Ohio City neighborhoods,” says David Elk.

Spanish Services

Elk & Elk has also added a Spanish-language section on their website. The Spanish webpages augment the bilingual telephone and in-person conversational Spanish services already available at the firm. “It is important that our Spanish-speaking clients feel comfortable and confident that their concerns are fully understood,” says Art. “By eliminating language barriers, we can better serve the legal needs of our community.”

Elk & Elk offers a free case review and the lawyers work on a contingency fee basis. “At Elk & Elk, we have a No Fee Promise,” explains Art. “Our clients pay nothing unless we win.”
