After receiving an epidural during the birth of her son, our client suffered a hematoma on her spinal cord. She went into emergency surgery to remove the blood clot and the surgeon told her she would never walk again.
The following quote was taken from our client’s personal Facebook page with her permission.
“This is a part of my story I rarely share, but if it can help one person I am happy to do so. This video speaks for itself but I wanted to give you a little background about my personal struggle.
Although everything was telling us we needed to take legal action, I was still afraid what people might think about me. It kind of carries a dark cloud in my mind. I normally don’t care what others think of me because truthfully that’s none of my business, but this was different to me.
It went against everything I believed and I didn’t want the label of suing anyone. I wholeheartedly believe that people make mistakes and accidents happen. But on a side note I also didn’t think that my family should have to endure all the stress of medical bills for someone else’s mistakes, along with a future filled with permanent damage.
It was a very hard decision to make. It is also one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. I stayed true to myself by just remaining honest, shared my story and let my files do the talking.
As a team, they worked so incredibly hard and brought us justice. I can’t say enough good things about how they helped take a huge burden off of us.
I really hope you never find yourself in a situation like we did but if you do, I highly…highly recommend this firm.”
