Meaghan A. Geraghty joined Elk + Elk in 2025 as a personal injury and medical malpractice attorney, bringing with her a background as a registered nurse. A native of Northeast Ohio, she earned her undergraduate degree from Bowling Green State University and was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship, which took her to Hong Kong. After returning to the U.S., she obtained her nursing degree from Kent State University and gained hands-on experience in various clinical settings, including top local hospitals and travel nurse assignments.

Meaghan earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 2018. During law school, she was a member of the National Mock Trial Team and received several CALI Awards for her work in Civil Clinic and Public Health Law. She was also recognized as the Outstanding Clinical Student and received the Clinical Legal Educators Association Award.

Her legal experience includes handling medical malpractice and nursing home cases in both Nebraska and Ohio. She has also served as a Guardian ad Litem and has litigated personal injury cases involving complex medical issues. Her combined experience in medicine and law provides her with unique insights into medical negligence cases, which she uses to advocate for individuals and families.

At Elk + Elk, Meaghan represents clients across Ohio in personal injury and medical malpractice cases. She is committed to ensuring those affected by medical negligence receive strong advocacy and support. Outside of work, she remains involved in community health initiatives and speaks at seminars focused on nursing and the law.
