Antonia Mysyk

Antonia “Toni” Mysyk joined Elk + Elk in 2025, bringing a strong academic background that has made her a vital asset to the firm. Toni operates at the heart of the firm’s complex litigation. She handles key trial and appellate briefing in medical malpractice and personal injury matters and serves as second chair on several of the firm’s catastrophic injury cases. She has written and argued appeals before the Ninth and Eighth District Courts of Appeals. Her work spans every phase of litigation, from early case strategy through trial and post-trial advocacy.

Academic Foundations and Legal Scholarship

At Elk + Elk, Toni applies the same discipline and precision that defined her academic career. She graduated summa cum laude from Franciscan University of Steubenville in 2021 with a degree in history and minors in legal studies and criminology. She then attended Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where she again graduated summa cum laude in 2024, ranking at the very top of her class. Her law school accomplishments earned her induction into the Order of the Coif and various academic and advocacy awards.

At Case Western, Toni combined academic leadership with hands-on advocacy experience. She was the Executive Online Editor of the Law Review and a legal writing teaching assistant. She also competed as part of the Case Western Mock Trial Team. Through these experiences, she sharpened her advocacy skills and strengthened her ability to craft clear, persuasive legal arguments.

Strategic Judicial Insights

Toni’s experience in both federal court and local practice informs her work at Elk + Elk. She has worked as a judicial extern to Judge J. Philip Calabrese of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, where she gained firsthand insight into how judges evaluate motions and assess legal arguments. She also worked as a certified legal intern with the Lake County Public Defender’s Office, developing practical courtroom skills in high-pressure settings.

A Central Role in Complex Litigation

At Elk + Elk, Toni plays a key role in the firm’s medical malpractice and catastrophic injury cases. She handles significant research and case briefings that shape cases before and after trial. In addition to her writing and appellate work, she serves as second chair on several complex injury cases. In that role, she is involved in all phases of litigation, including depositions, motion practice, mediations, trial preparation, and courtroom proceedings. Her work ensures that each case is strategically developed and prepared from start to finish.

Dedication to the Chardon and Cleveland Communities

Originally from Chardon, Ohio, Toni remains connected to her roots in the Cleveland area. She understands the values of the community she serves and is committed to making a difference beyond the office. She volunteers with a women’s emergency shelter in Chardon, carrying the same dedication to service that she brings to her clients.

Outside of work, Toni enjoys spending time outdoors and taking advantage of Ohio’s parks and trails. She enjoys hiking, softball, pickleball, and most other outside activities, especially after an Ohio winter.
