Marilena DiSilvio to present at Society for Academic Emergency Medicine Annual Meeting

On Friday, May 18, Elk & Elk Partner Marilena DiSilvio will share her extensive experience in medical malpractice and health care law during a medicolegal simulation at the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine (SAEM) Annual Meeting.
DiSilvio will be joined by Dr. Michael Smith in their presentation of “Watch a Doctor Get Sued: A Live Medicolegal Simulation.” Smith serves as Director of the Ochsner Simulation Center and an Associate Professor at University of Queensland’s Ochsner Clinical School.
The SAEM Annual Meeting takes place May 15 to 18 at JW Marriott Indianapolis. A wide variety of professionals from the field of emergency medicine attend the event each year, including medical students and residents, physicians, educators, and government officials.
SAEM is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to improving care of the acutely ill and injured patients through advancements in research, education, advocacy, and professional development.
