Craig McLaughlin Named Partner at Elk & Elk

Elk & Elk is excited to congratulate attorney Craig McLaughlin on being named the firm’s newest Partner.

“Craig has been with us for almost 14 years. His commitment to clients is unmatched,” says Elk & Elk Managing Partner Jay Kelley of the announcement. “We have watched him work tirelessly to not only provide the maximum result, but involve his clients step by step to ensure they are an active part of their resolution.”

Craig has successfully resolved more than 850 personal injury and medical malpractice cases throughout his career, achieving a wide range of six- and seven-figure settlements and verdicts for Elk & Elk clients.

His impressive roster of case results includes a $7.1 million recovery for an Ohio woman who suffered catastrophic injuries in a crash on an Indiana highway, a $1.25 million recovery for a man who was seriously injured when a pick-up truck was negligently backed into a barn door and the door fell on him, and many other recoveries of $1 million or more.

He has served as lead counsel for injured clients in over 35 jury trials to date and obtained one of the highest verdicts ($620,000) in Clermont County, Ohio, for a personal injury motor vehicle crash case when the insurance company’s final offer was only $50,000.

Since joining Elk & Elk in 2005, Craig has become an integral member of the team. His distinguished career and dedication to helping injury victims made him an obvious choice to become the firm’s seventh partner.

“I am very thankful and appreciative of being named one of the partners at Elk & Elk. It’s a sign the hard work I put in on behalf of my very deserving clients has paid off,” Craig says of his new role with the firm. “Elk & Elk continues to do great things for our clients every day and I am excited for the future.”

After earning his bachelor’s degree in political science from University of Cincinnati, Craig went on to obtain his law degree at Northern Kentucky University’s Salmon P. Chase College of Law. He began his career in personal injury law at The Moore Law Firm of Cincinnati in 1997, and has earned admission to the bar in Ohio and Kentucky.

Craig is regularly recognized by local, statewide, and national attorney rating services, including Super Lawyers, Martindale-Hubbell®, AVVO, National Trial Lawyers Association’s Top 100 Ohio Trial Lawyers, and Cleveland’s Top Rated Lawyers.

He is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, Ohio Association for Justice, American Association for Justice, and both the Million Dollar and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forums.

In addition to his outstanding track record of success on behalf of Elk & Elk’s clients, Craig shares his extensive experience with his peers in the legal community through speaking engagements and written works.

National Business Institute has featured Craig as a speaker for continuing legal education seminars on topics including personal injury, traumatic brain injury cases, anatomy for attorneys, and jury selection. He also presented a CLE on identifying viable employer intentional tort and products liability cases for the Clermont County Bar Association, and authored an article summarizing Ohio law on dram shop liquor liability for the Cincinnati Bar Association’s CBA Report.
