ILLUMINATE: The 41st Annual Cleveland International Film Festival

CIFF41Elk & Elk is excited to once again join the Cleveland International Film Festival in enriching our Greater Cleveland community with its annual showcase featuring the work of filmmakers from over 70 countries. Between March 29 and April 9, CIFF41 will present screenings of more than 400 feature and short films at Tower City Cinemas and select neighborhood locations.

ILLUMINATE is the central theme of the 2017 festival. President Nancy Callahan and Executive Director Marcie Goodman share the inspiration behind this decision in the program guide:

While ILLUMINATE is a nod to the literal illumination on the screen, playing off light and motion, it also references how topics and issues are spotlighted in our films. Time and again we hear from people who have been inspired by what they have seen at the Festival and who have taken that inspiration into their own lives and communities as a result. And that’s what the CIFF is all about-a ripple effect of change going beyond the theaters and beyond the 12 days of the Festival.
