Medical malpractice causes death, resulting in $1.5 Million Settlement
Decedent’s 49-year-old wife went to the emergency room three times in one week with a fever, vomiting and abdominal pain but was sent home each time. The third time she was admitted and eventually sent to the ICU after her blood pressure was dropping. Plaintiff was then taken to surgery for a bowel obstruction when she died from a heart attack. A pre-surgical check indicated she had no heart history.

The 77-year-old Plaintiff needed the assistance of two people when being moved from her bed. During a one-person lift, the Plaintiff was dropped and cut her leg, requiring stitches. During another one-person lift, the Plaintiff was dropped and broke her leg. Plaintiff underwent surgery and was in the Specialty Unit due to infection. Doctors agree our Client won’t be able to walk again, even with the assistance of a walker.

After demanding his mother go to the emergency room, it was clear she sustained a broken left hip and a slight concussion. She requires surgery to repair her hip.
