Robert Gross

grossRobert was awarded both a J.D. and M.B.A. by Case Western Reserve in 1979. For the next two years he was a law clerk to the United States District Court Judge, Ben Green. He then practiced workers' compensation law with a large firm for ten years.

His association with Elk and Elk began in 1992. In 1999, he became one of the first attorneys in Ohio to be certified as a specialist in the field of Worker' compensation. To obtain certification, he was required to pass a written test, demonstrate substantial involvement in workers' compensation, fulfill enhanced educational requirements, and submit to a rigorous peer evaluation. He is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers, the Cleveland Bar Association, and the Richland County Bar Association.

He has argued before the Supreme Court of Ohio and he has lectured on workers' compensation issues. He is currently of counsel to Elk and Elk representing injured workers before the Bureau of Workers' Compensation and the Industrial Commission of Ohio.

He has been named by Inside Business Magazine as one of the top three workers' compensation attorneys in Northeast Ohio for 2001,2002 and 2003. In addition he was named an Ohio Super Lawyer by Cincinnatti Magazine for 2004.
