Craig has represented families and individuals in medical malpractice, nursing home abuse, medical neglect and wrongful death litigation since 1997.  Prior to joining Elk & Elk Associates Co., Ltd. and developing a multi-state practice, Craig was an associate at a small personal injury firm in Cincinnati, Ohio where he assisted in obtaining numerous multi-million dollar settlements on personal injury and wrongful death cases.  Craig has served as lead counsel in many jury trials.

Craig graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Political Science.  While in college, Craig served as an intern for a member of the United States Congress in Washington D.C.  He earned his law degree from the Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University.  Craig was a member of the Moot Court team in law school and won awards at local and national moot court competitions.

Craig has written articles for legal publications and spoken at seminars on topics such as dram shop liability, employer intentional tort claims, and products liability.

$1,050,000 - Motor Vehicle Crash
38 year-old man suffered multiple fractures of his left and right legs; fractured left arm; lacerations to his spleen and kidneys and numerous other injuries when his car was hit head-on by a speeding Mack truck. A pick-up truck that negligently pulled out in front of the Mack truck was also partially at fault for causing the crash. Client had over $240,000 in past medical expenses and also incurred significant past and future lost wages.

 


$400,000 - Nursing Home & Wrongful Death
82 year-old female was totally dependent on nursing home staff for all of her needs, but she was left unattended on a portable toilet. She fell and hit her head, causing bilateral subdural hematomas. She died two days later. Deceased was survived by her husband, two children, and a granddaughter

$350,000 - Medical Mistake
Optometrist failed to diagnose open angle glaucoma that resulted in permanent partial vision loss in both of client’s eyes. Client incurred over $11,000 in medical bills, could not drive at night, and needed a magnifying glass to read.
$300,000 - Pedestrian/Motor Vehicle Crash (Policy Limits)
41 year-old tow truck driver suffered a shattered right arm, shattered right leg, and other serious injuries when struck by a car on I-270 in Columbus, Ohio while he was assisting a stranded motorist. Client underwent 16 surgeries and incurred substantial medical expenses.


$240,000 - Negligent Horseplay By Teenager
Teenage female suffered an avulsion of the patellar tendon in her left knee, permanent scarring of her left knee; and a right knee sprain when a fellow high school classmate stepped on her feet and knocked her to the ground during horseplay at school. Client had a pre-existing knee condition that was severely aggravated by the Defendant. She needed four surgeries on her left knee after the incident. She incurred over $86,000 in medical expenses and $3,000 in lost income.
